- Abstract
Non-formal education, a key aspect of lifelong learning, aims to foster a learning society. This study examines the necessary and desired non-formal education programs, their implementation, and the factors influencing lifelong learning campaigns in Indonesia and Thailand’s Community Learning Centers (CLCs). Using a mixed-method approach, the study collected data from organizers and educators through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. Findings reveal that Indonesia’s CLCs offer diverse programs, including life skills, early childhood education, women’s empowerment, and job training. Thailand’s CLCs focus on information dissemination, business opportunities, and community support. The research provides insights and guidelines for enhancing lifelong learning through non-formal education.
