- Abstract
This research discussed the influence of local wisdom in the formation of religious character through Indonesian children’s literature by analyzing short stories by children. The studied problem was religious values with the influence of local wisdom in the book collection of short stories by children. The data sources used come from three books of short story collections entitled “Pasukan Jumat Berbagi”, “Bunda di Sepertiga Malam”, and “Sahabat Penghafal Al Quran” written by the peci team (Indonesian child writers). The data collection technique used literature study and documentation techniques. Furthermore, the data analysis technique uses a qualitative approach method. The results of this study obtained various religious characters from three short story collection books.
