- Abstract
Implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum in the D-IV Mechanical Engineering study program at Surabaya State University met with companies regarding the unclear departure of the overseas internship program in Japan. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the Implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum: Case Study in the Overseas Internship Program at the D-IV Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Surabaya State University. With a research focus that refers to grindle theory, namely policy content and implementation context. This research method uses qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques through interviews and observation. The research results show that the implementation of overseas internship programs faces uncertainty related to selection and administrative status, high financial burdens, and administrative requirements such as Certificate of Eligibility (COE). With qualitative data analysis which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
