- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find and describe the problem of ethical values reflected in recent Indonesian literary novels as a medium for student character education. This research method uses qualitative methods. The data source of this research is the latest Indonesian Cinta dalam 99 Nama-Mu literary novels. Data collection techniques used library techniques or documents in the form of recent Indonesian literary religious novels. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis techniques and content analysis. The data validity check technique uses trustworthiness, reliability, dependability, and certainty. Indonesian literary novels contain many ethical values that have been practiced by the characters in Indonesian literary novels. The ethical values that have been practiced by the characters in Indonesian literature can be used as an example by the community, especially the younger generation, so that in living in a society they have ethics, mutual respect, appreciation, tolerance, and recognition of the existence rights of others so that a safe and peaceful life in society can be created.
