- Abstract
The Bumdes (Badan Usaha Milik Desa) policy has become an effective strategy in encouraging local economic development and empowering rural communities in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Bumdes policies in Kediren Village, Lamongan Regency. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Bumdes policy in Kediren Village has a positive impact on improving the welfare of the village community and driving the local economy. Through the establishment of Bumdes, the people of Kediren village can manage their businesses independently by utilizing existing local potential, such as agriculture, fisheries, livestock, small industries, and services. By involving the community in decision-making and business management, the Bumdes policy is able to empower the community economically and socially.
