- Abstract
This research aims to determine the influence of pedagogical competence and microteaching quality on teaching readiness through the quality of Introduction to the teaching program as a mediating variable. The research population was 177 Economic Education students from the 2019 and 2020 classes. The sample for this research was 123 students determined using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The data analysis method uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques with path analysis. The research results show that pedagogical competence has a positive and significant effect on teaching readiness, microteaching quality has a positive and significant effect on teaching readiness, and introduction to the teaching program can mediate the influence of pedagogical competence and microteaching quality on teaching readiness. The suggestions given in this research are that students are expected to be able to train mentally by participating in activities related to teaching and teaching practice, the study program can optimize teaching practice activities, and further research can re-examine the factors that influence teaching readiness.
