Abstract

AI-driven ChatGPT, an AI system created by OpenAI, has gained widespread recognition and adoption in diverse domains, including the field of education. This technology empowers students to actively engage with concepts and generate content in an interactive manner. Since its emergence in 2020, ChatGPT has sparked debate among educators, with many expressing hesitations about its integration into classrooms due to several concerns. Despite these reservations, ChatGPT’s potential to enhance the educational experience is noteworthy. This article explores the advantages of incorporating ChatGPT in educational settings for both students and teachers, highlighting its ability to provide on-demand support, create personalized learning experiences, and foster independent learning. It also outlines crucial guidelines for effective integration, aiming to maximize benefits while addressing ethics, academic integrity, and equitable access. By carefully considering these aspects, educators can leverage ChatGPT to enrich learning and prepare students for a future with increasing AI influence. To address the evolving nature of ChatGPT, the research utilized a rapid literature review, providing timely insights for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to respond quickly to ChatGPT’s impact on education.
