- Abstract
In the context of translating local culture, translator training in regional universities should focus on serving local society. Under this circumstances, translation projects can be introduced into the classroom by implementing the “Project-Practice-Corpus-Case (PPCC)” model. This paper illustrates the PPCC model in translation teaching with a simulated project “Compilation and International Dissemination of Stories of Place Name in Wuhan”. Interviews with students also demonstrate that the PPCC model effectively cultivates leaner’s translation skills and professional competencies.
