- Abstract
This study conducts an in-depth analysis of the pivotal role and profound impact that symphony orchestras in STEM universities play in the realm of higher education aesthetic education, with a detailed case study of the Hohai University Symphony Orchestra. This paper clearly demonstrates the significant effects of symphony orchestras in enhancing students' artistic literacy, teamwork, and cross-cultural communication skills. The findings reveal that participation in orchestra activities not only elevates students' artistic taste but also promotes a deeper sense of team spirit and social skills, fostering mutual understanding and respect among students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Additionally, the article constructs a set of evaluation criteria and offers targeted strategic recommendations based on these standards.
