- Abstract
The esoteric philosophy of Zhou Xiaoyan’s vocal teaching has been marked by a harmonious integration of vocal prowess and pedagogical philosophy. This piece delves into Zhou’s formulation of vocal teaching concepts, influenced by personal challenges, methodological inspirations, and a blend of Eastern and Western pedagogical practices. It maps the evolution of her methodology, illustrating the symbiotic relationship between psychological and physiological aspects, and culminates in a discussion of its implications for contemporary vocal education.
