- Abstract
This research aims to develop a model of college students Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA) Islamic boarding school that can increase their religious consciousness through aqeedah and Akhlaq materials that can be easily understood and conceived by both lecturers and participated students. The research employed Research and Development (R&D) method which elaborated aspects such as learning method, material, and assessment. The steps of the research were started from the design validation by experts, design revision, and limited trial. The findings showed that the Islamic boarding college used conventional lecture method for all the teaching and learning. The study developed the method by using audio visual learning media. In the learning material aspect, the results of the study showed that the boarding college only has presented the signs of Qur’anic verses and hadith about aqeedah and Akhlaq. This research developed the material by adding illustrations into a coherent and comprehensive guidebook. Regarding the learning assessment, the findings showed that the boarding college has provided only resume-making assignments to the students without being aware of the extent of their religious consciousness or understanding.
