Proceedings of the 4th International Symposium on Health Research (ISHR 2019)
The 4th International Symposium on Health Research (ISHR) was held on November 28-30, 2019 in Bali, Indonesia. Organizing Committee is the National Institute of Health Research and Development Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia collaboration with The Indonesian Public Health Association (IAKMI). The background of this symposium is nation development has never been separated from components of government resources, economic power, social and cultural growth, environmental changes as well as geographical challenges. All of those components are both impacting and impacted by health development in variety of relationship mechanisms. Government resource is a crucial component in the process of health development, in which, it is strongly related toward political elements as part of the development cycle. Strengthening synergism between politics and health become fundamental for more optimal and sustainable nation development. In addition, the health development should also consider three main aspects that include health financing, sovereign health resources, health promotion and prevention approaches. Those aspects are important part in the health development and need to be implemented in comprehensive and sustainable concepts. This symposium aims to exchange knowledge from research and development as well as experiences in creating health in all policy and how political dimensions lead to improving health status of the community and to closing the gaps of health care delivery. National Institute of Health Research and Development Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia has routinely conducted an international symposium in 2012, 2014, and 2016, which resulted strong health leaders’ commitments and policy recommendation towards optimal public health development at the national and global levels. The 4th International Symposium will be held this year in collaboration with Indonesian Public Health Association (IAKMI) which holds the 14th National Congress. This Congress will be participated by 1000 members nationwide. This collaboration events are aim to provide evidences based in variety of health science and technology research and development in supporting related stakeholders and organizations to build stronger synergism between politics and health toward higher value and priority in improving health for all regardless of social economy and geographical differences in both local, national and global perspectives. Finally, we are very grateful to all member of the National Institute of Health Research and Development Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia collaboration partner with the Indonesian Public Health Association for the support. We would also like to thank all the authors and reviewers for all their efforts that led to the publication of the 4th International Symposium on Health Research (ISHR) proceedings.
