Abstract

The need for learning Javanese today has shifted, namely from learning the language as a mother tongue or local language, to learning a language with a multicultural background. This phenomenon results in the curriculum being given is a language curriculum for communication, no longer a language knowledge curriculum or memorization. The purpose of this study is to create a Javanese language learning model that is suitable for foreign speakers. The method used is the adaptation method of CEFR levels A1 which is applied to the level of gampil “easy” in Javanese language. The findings division of learning at this level is speech level, familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases, introducing him/herself, asking and answering questions about personal details, interacting in a simple way, and basic metalinguistics.
