- Abstract
Flood disasters often occur in Biau Village, North Gorontalo Regency, which is often affected by flooding, numbering 323 families with 1,490 people. Mohuyula, community empowerment programs are needed to increase community capacity in facing flood disasters, so that people can prepare themselves to face disasters through knowledge, use of science and technology and skills training obtained from various programs that have been implemented. The approach used in carrying out several of these activities is through FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Apart from that, there are several methods used, namely through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, practical training and field work. The benefit obtained from the service carried out is increasing community capacity in managing flood disasters independently which can be carried out by village communities. The impact of this service activity is to increase the will and ability of the community in managing flood disasters in Biau village, Biau sub-district.
