Website: http://icssed.org With great and successful prestigious history of ICSSED, the 2024 9th International Conference on Social Sciences and Economic Development (ICSSED 2024)was grandly held in Beijing, China, during 22 to 24March 2024 via hybrid format, gathering together about 150 delegates in the fields of social sciences and economic development from all over the world. ICSSED 2024 is a great academic platform and is of great significance for disseminating cutting-edge information in disciplines and industry, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and condensing academic achievements in the industry at this event. The Conference consisted of 4 keynote speeches addressed by well-known scholars internationally (by Prof. Abdul Rauf from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China, A. Prof. Khurram Shehzad from Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics, China, Prof. Junfeng Liao from South China University of Technology, China, and Prof. Qihui Chen from China Agricultural University, China, respectively), various oral and poster presentations, in which a wide range of topics related to social sciences and economic development were covered and the most recent significant results were presented. They discussed such topics as: The Way Forward to Sustainable Progress: Estimating the Dynamic Nexus Between Tourism Development, Energy Usage, Transportation and Environmental Sustainability:An Insights from Chinese Provinces Context; Environmental Degradation and Technology: A Key role of Smart Energy Production and Smart Consumption, How Long Will It Delay? An Empirical Study on Iterative Growth of Internet World-of-Mouth (IWOM), Economic Development, Information, and Food Consumption Behavior, among others. Besides, the attending scholars, experts, and researchers exchanged deeply on the latest research achievements and advanced experience in the industry development and shared their unique insights into development trends and research directions of the industry. ICSSED 2024 received submissions from home and abroad, but unfortunately some manuscripts did not pass the final review, which therefore are not included in this Proceedings. The selected submissions covered are published by Atlantis Press, covering topics on Sociology and Social Computing, Political Influences on Business, Branding and Brand Management, Regional and International Trade, Sustainable Development, etc., showing readers the latest research results and application cases of social sciences and economic development. We firmly believe that by reading these papers, readers will deepen their understanding of relevant fields and appreciate their enormous significance and potential impact on contemporary society. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the committee members and all the staff, as well as the expert reviewers, for their endeavor in making this Conference possible and reviewing the manuscripts submitted.
