The 2024 4th International Conference on Modern Educational Technology and Social Sciences (ICMETSS 2024) took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from August 23 to 25, 2024. ICMETSS 2024 continues to focus on modern educational technology and social sciences and their related fields, covering a wide range of topics from fundamental theories to cutting-edge technologies.

The conference was structured around several key themes, each designed to address critical issues and emerging trends in modern educational technology and social sciences. These themes include, but are not limited to:

Modern Educational Technology: This theme explores various aspects of online and remote learning, educational social media, global education, the impact of social development on educational technology, and artificial intelligence in education.

Information Science and Information Technology: Papers under this theme address topics such as information systems, informationmanagement, data analysis, datamining, network security, and communication networks.

The conference proceedings are a testament to the depth and breadth of research conducted in these areas. Each paper has undergone rigorous peer review by at least two experts in the relevant field, ensuring the highest standards of academic quality, originality, and relevance to the conference themes.

During the conference, a series of academic presentations and group discussions cen- tered on the conference theme were carried out. Well-known scholars acted as keynote speakers and shared their research progress and future trends in fields related to modern educational technology and social sciences. Associate Professor Ts. Dayana Farzeeha Ali (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia) shared her research on Empowering Voca- tional Education with Technology: A Roadmap to Enhanced Visualization and Skill Development, which focuses on integrating augmented reality and virtual reality in Technical and Vocational Education and Training. Associate Professor Che Soh Bin Said (Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris,Malaysia) emphasized the importance of a user- centered approach in designing immersive multimodal learning environments to ensure that they are accessible, intuitive, and supportive of diverse learning styles with research Human Factor in Designing an Effective Generative Immersive Multimodal Learning Environment. Besides, some other experts and scholars made wonderful presentations on their own research achievements and also actively engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with other participants to jointly explore new research directions and application areas.
