- Abstract
John Dewey, a renowned American philosopher, psychologist, and educator, offers valuable insights into teacher education by challenging traditional views and advocating for the pivotal role of teachers. Drawing from Dewey's view of teachers, this article proposes three key insights to enhance the professional growth and wisdom of teachers: promoting a modern understanding of teachers, transitioning teachers from technical orientation to reflective practice, and encouraging continuous learning to broaden their knowledge base. Cultivating teachers' life wisdom is essential for professional development and teaching effectiveness.
