Abstract

Taking the best-seller Chinese version of Ferryman, written by the English writer Claire Mcfall as an example, the author not only puts forward the Chinese translators’ awkward situation against the background of vigorous copyright imports these days, but also analyzes its contributing factors from three levels. Due to the mere fact that the translators’ failure to own the copyright in real practice, the author poses a question about the Chinese translators’ identities and appeals to the Chinese authorities concerned to make laws and lay down regulations for translators in difficulties to go by to safeguard their rights and interests.
