The 2021 7th International Conference on Education and Technology (ICET) is organized by the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Malang supported by its partners which is to be held in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. The 2021 7th ICET is an international conference that discusses education and technology. Today these two topics are crucial themes and are commonly discussed in seminar forums. The purpose of the 2021 7th ICET is to facilitate researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate the results of research that studies education and technology. The 2021 7th ICET currently carries the theme: Education in Revolution Industry 5.0.

The commitment, in particular, is an effort to conduct a retrospective, in the field of education and learning, to produce technology that can facilitate the life of the learning community. Retrospective of the field of education and learning is the reality of methods in the field of education and learning. Retrospect not only looks at old theories and technologies for recycling but also as a method to better understand the issues and trends that are emerging in the world of education and learning.

The theme of the conference is “Education in Revolution Industry 5.0”, with featured keynote speakers from various countries including Taiwan, Malaysia, Australia, and Indonesia. The purpose of this conference is to share our ideas and strategies to improve the education system in the era of Revolution Industry 5.0. The conference also facilitates the lecturers, principals, supervisors, teachers, students, or all who have attention to education to express and share their ideas through writing and presenting articles of the conference about how to improve the quality of education in the era of technology development.

On behalf of the faculty of Education UM, we thank you for the cooperation that has been given at this conference. In addition, we appreciate all the audience and participants, especially the deans, vice deans, head of departments, secretary of departments, head of study programs, the keynote speakers, the chairman of the event, the committee and the crews, the reviewers, and all the rest that I cannot mention one by one who highly participated in the conference.

Hopefully, this conference is useful for all, especially to solve the problems and develop the education system in line with the development of technology in Revolution Industry 5.0. In addition, we hope this conference can contribute to improving the quality of education in particular and global.
