The 2nd International Conference on Education, Language and Art (ICELA 2022) was successfully held in Sanya, China, on November 25–27, 2022 (virtual conference), at the premises of the Sanya, Resort Sanya Bay. The conference is an annual scientific meeting starting in 2021.

As in the previous year, the main motivation of the organizing committee was to bring together experts, scholars and scientists from all over the world to present their work, exchange information and establish collaboration. ICELA 2022 promoted scientific information interchange between researchers, developers and practitioners working all around the world and affiliated future business contacts among all the participants.

The scope of the conference covered all areas of research in education, language and art including: science of education, educational psychology, theory of art, Chinese painting and calligraphy, digitalmedia technology,music and dance, etc. The conference brought together 150 participants, primarily from Malaysia and China, but also from India, Denmark, and other countries.

A three-day program of the conference was divided into four sessions, including keynote speeches, oral presentations, poster presentations and Q&A discussions. Each keynote speaker was given 30–45 min for keynote speeches, and every presenter was given 10–15 min. Among them, Prof. Lin Zhu from Huaqiao University, China, performed a speech on Optimizing the Learner’s Knowledge Structure in Translation Instruction: A Case Study of the MTI Education in China. To optimize the learner’s knowledge structure in translation teaching is an effective. She explained the specific ways of teaching in terms of three principles for the Masters of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) education as a case study and suggested four interrelated teaching models based on a WCAT (web-computer-aided translation) system, whose greatest advantage is to provide a knowledge-rich environment and enable the coherent process of the learner’s cognitive development. The insightful speeches of each keynote speakers triggered interesting discussions and a number of informal talks between all the participants.
