- Abstract
There are three objectives in this study, (1) to describe the structure in news texts found on Kompas.com Online Media. (2) Knowing the relevance of the news text on the media page kompas.com as teaching material for junior high school students’ news text material. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data in this study are in the form of structures in news texts, while the data sources in this study were obtained from online media Kompas.com. The data collection technique used in this research is the reading and writing technique. The results of this study can be concluded, (1) Based on this research found a description of the existing structure in the news text contained in online media Kompas.com. (2) There is a link between the news text on the Kompas.com online media page and the teaching materials for junior high school students’ news texts.
