Proceedings of 5th International Conference on Contemporary Education, Social Sciences and Humanities - Philosophy of Being Human as the Core of Interdisciplinary Research (ICCESSH 2020)

It is our pleasure to present to your attention these Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Contemporary Education, Social Sciences and Humanities (ICCESSH 2020).
Our 5th International Conference on Contemporary Education, Social Sciences and Humanities was held in Moscow by Peoples' Friendship University of Russia Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences on April 23-24, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Conference was held in the online format.
ICCESSH 2020 was jointly organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia); the Department of Philosophy of National Chengchi University (Taipei, Taiwan); Hotel Business and Tourism Institute of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia); International Science and Culture Center for Academic Contacts (Moscow, Russia) and Zhengzhou Yingchun Conference planning Co., Ltd. (Zhengzhou, China).
This year the main focus of the Conference was on the following topic: Philosophy of Being Human as the Core of Interdisciplinary Research.
The participants of ICCESSH 2020 sought to achieve a holistic understanding of the nature and status of the modern human from the standpoint of the interdisciplinary approach. The main objective of the Conference was to provide the opportunity for philosophers, sociologists, anthropologists, cultural and religious studies scholars, psychologists, specialists in the field of the media and communications, bioethics and ethics to consider and discuss the issues of the modern human at the crossroads of civilizational, cultural, moral, religious, educational, environmental, technological and communication transformations of modern society.
In addition to the issues above, participants from Russia, Great Britain, China, India, Taiwan, Kyrgyz Republic, Vietnam, Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed other topical issues in the field of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Contemporary Education.
ICCESSH 2020 has received 142 manuscripts, each paper was peer-reviewed by three experts, and 67 submissions have been selected for publication. We hope that the papers included in these Proceedings will provide new insights and ideas for the readers interested in studying Social Sciences, Humanities, and Contemporary Education.
Let us express our gratitude to all the participants of ICCESSH 2020 for their valuable contribution to the work of the Conference. We would also like to thank everyone who worked hard to organize the Conference and prepare the Proceedings for publication. And we especially thank Atlantis Press for our long-term collaboration.
