Abstract

Movie space is the process by which Tarkovskij explores the possibility of "movie" and is also the process of finding more independence for the film. "Perceived film space" is the essence of "movie space", but it is not the essence. The essence of "movie space" is "time." And the constant presentation of "time" in the "movie space" is the principle that Tarkovskij has always adhered to in film creation. This article attempts to explain Tarkovskij's film creation thoughts and its enlightenment by discussing many problems in "movie space".
