- Abstract
Taoism has experienced more than 3,000 years of history since its birth, and its ideological attainments permeate all aspects of Chinese aesthetics. Since the late eastern Han Dynasty, Taoism began to develop in Shu, which had a great influence on the gardening ideas, garden elements and main types of gardens in Xishu. Through the methods of literature research and comparative analysis, this paper comprehensively analyzes and explores the guiding significance of Taoism culture to the garden construction in Xishu.
