- Abstract
Motivation is one of the most important affective factors in the English learning. The study did a questionnaire survey and statistical analysis on the motivation of 600 college students, to explore the factors influencing English learning motivation of college students and their inner relationship. The results show that learning motivation and learning interest are closely related, learning motivation and test anxiety are negatively related; The relationship between learning motivation and will power is complex, while the students with strong willpower have relatively clear learning motivation, but as for those whose motivation is clear, their will-power is not necessarily strong; Clear learning motivation can improve the students' learning initiative and self-consciousness, and enhance the confidence of learning English. Through the investigation of the current situation of college students' learning motivation and analysis with the interest and self-confidence, anxiety, and will-power, it provides scientific basis and suggestions for improving the quality of English teaching in higher vocational colleges.
