- Abstract
The professional development of the rural teachers is a key to rural education development and the professional training of the rural teachers is an important measure to promote their professional development. By investigating the professional training of rural English teachers in Hengyang, the researchers have found that poor coordination of training management, poor relevance, low fit between training content and training needs, and lagging training models have still existed. Therefore, in the future, we need to strengthen the coordination of training organizations, provide targeted training for rural secondary school English teachers of different ages and titles, conduct training in accordance with the needs of the rural teachers, and innovate the training models to motivate the trained teachers so as to better serve rural education.
