- Abstract
Ecotourism is growing particularly popular today. Russian culture has always attracted foreigners. Knowledge of foreign languages facilitates cross-cultural communication. In order to enhance international connections, local communities need to acquire socio-linguistic competences. The aim of this research is to conceptualize an educational module enabling learners to master their intercultural communication skills. The result of the research is the description of an English course designed for people from local communities who wish to acquire, refresh or hone their language skills in English in order to enhance ecotourism and communicate with tourists effectively.
