- Abstract
Writing is an activity that integrates the use of target language. Compared with listening, speaking and reading, it usually improves slowly in practical teaching. Based on the practical problems encountered in teaching, this paper aims to explore and analyze the effective methods of English writing teaching in senior high schools through the meaning of constructivism learning theory and its guiding principles for the classroom. It builds effective scaffolding to help students complete their writing that defining writing tasks in advance, putting forward writing topics related to students, encouraging students to put forward their own views through group cooperation and paying attention to them. Finally, through the change of the evaluation method, this teaching method can guide the development of students' cognitive function and the teacher-student relationship. It is not only helpful for students to master the method of composing English compositions, improve their English writing ability, but also helpful for students to gradually build up their confidence in writing.
