- Abstract
Yogyakarta is a city of culture as well as a city with majority Muslim population. This study aims to describe the implementation of early childhood curriculum management in an Islamic kindergarten at Yogyakarta. This research uses a qualitative research approach with descriptive analysis method. The study was conducted by interviewing, observing and study documenting of 3 people namely the school principal, teacher and administrative officer. The results showed: (1) curriculum management in kindergarten is in accordance with the 2013 curriculum and there is a content of local wisdom of Yogyakarta culture; (2) The obstacles that occur in curriculum management are dominated at the implementation stage, namely the inadequacy learning methods used by teachers. To overcome this, the teacher must have skills in improvising teaching methods in the classroom.
