- Abstract
Investment law in Indonesia which is covered by Law Number 25 of 2007 concerning Investment (Investment Law) has undergone various evolutions which are influenced by the spiritual atmosphere of its formulator, namely so that Indonesia can compete with other countries in attracting investment. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the legal implications of international agreements in the investment sector for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives (UMKMK) sector. The research method used is normative juridical. The results of this study indicate that international agreements in the investment sector have implications for changes in the direction of policies for the protection and development of UMKMK, both positively and negatively. Thus, Indonesia needs to simultaneously evaluate the operation of all international agreements in the economic field to measure favorable international agreements and avoid losses from unfavorable international agreements.
