- Abstract
Blended learning can be seen as an important opportunity to redesign and redevelop the higher education curriculum, due to its advantages such as greater flexibility, autonomy, participation, and more effective learning effects. This paper analyzes both current state and trends of blended learning in higher education. It highlights that learning management systems, social media and many other tools have been developed to implement blended learning in higher education institutions. The future of blended learning in higher education will be more personalized, diverse, innovative, student-centred, and high-quality.
