- Abstract
This paper aims to conduct an in-depth study of the historical evolution, core concepts, influence and challenges of Eastern social thought and philosophy. Eastern social thought has a long history, including the philosophical traditions of India, China, Japan and other regions, covering important areas such as morality, ethics, self-understanding, and social order. Despite the global attention of Eastern philosophy, research and dissemination challenges remain. In this article, we first review the historical evolution of thought in Eastern societies, covering the philosophical traditions of ancient India, China, and Japan, as well as medieval and modern developments. We emphasize the influence of feudalism, cultural inheritance and modernization on Eastern philosophy, as well as changes in the process of globalization. The goal of this article is to promote cross-cultural dialogue and understanding and to call for more research and attention to Eastern social thought and philosophy. Through a deeper understanding and application of Eastern philosophy, we can promote respect for cultural diversity and the common progress of global society. This research provides a deeper understanding of the importance of Eastern social thought and philosophy, encouraging people to establish closer connections between different cultures to deal with the complex challenges of today's world.
