Abstract

Most of the countries along the“The Belt and Road”are developing countries and have an urgent need for infrastructure construction. The PPP model can stimulate social capital participation and make up for financing gaps in infrastructure construction projects. Because countries along the route vary in politics, economy, culture, and law, the cross-border PPP model has problems such as high investment risk and low investment return rate. This paper analyzes the risks of the PPP model in the "The Belt and Road" infrastructure construction, and proposes countermeasures and suggestions for dealing with infrastructure PPP project risks along the way from the perspective of Chinese government agencies and domestic investment companies.
