Proceedings of the Fourth Prasasti International Seminar on Linguistics (Prasasti 2018)
This proceeding contains selected papers of The 4th PRASASTI International Conference on Recent Linguistics Research (PRASASTI 2018) held on 1-2 August 2018 in Solo, Indonesia. The conference which was organized by the Doctoral Program of Linguistics, Postgraduate School of Universitas Sebelas Maret has accepted more than 150 abstracts. Finally, after peer-reviewing process, 100 papers were accepted for publication in a WOS indexed conference proceeding.
The conference accommodates topics for Linguistics in general including issues in Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics; Sociolinguistics, Ethnolinguistics; Pragmatics, as well as Applied Linguistics including Translations and language teaching. The selecting and reviewing process for the PRASASTI 2018 was very challenging in that it needs a goodwill of those who were involved in such a process. More than ten experts were invited in reviewing, giving suggestions for revision and at last selecting the papers. On that account, we would like to forward our appreciation and our gratefulness to such invited experts for having done the process.
We would like to express our gratitude to all of the parties who have helped us make this meeting and the proceeding publication possible, especially Universitas Sebelas Maret for the funding and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; University of New South Wales, Australia; Leeds University, UK; Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia; Universitas Soedirman, Purwokerto; and Universitas Andalas, Padang for the cooperative support with the speakers. Our deep gratitude is also strongly forwarded to all individuals who took parts in the conference, especially the keynote speakers, all the presenters and participants as well as all students and staffs who have been involved in the preparation and execution of the conference and the proceeding publication.
Papers in the proceeding are expected to give academic benefits, especially in broadening the horizon of our undertanding in Linguistics. We expect that this seminar give academic benefits for lecturers, researchers, university students, and practitioners, especially in broadening the horizon of our undertanding in Linguistics. In this activity surely be born of ideas and smart thinking and innovative framework derived from the presented papers.
