- Abstract
Digitalization of priority sectors of the economy and the social sphere, including the consumer market, requires a qualitative review of the mechanism of interaction between market entities and the use of new tools for regulating their relationships. Globalization of the consumer market in the digital economy leads to a significant change in consumer preferences, affects the composition of market participants, information becomes the main factor affecting the formation of demand. In this regard, there is a need for further development of a scientific methodology for the functioning of the digital economy within the global economic system of the consumer market, which ensures the interaction of the state, producers, and consumers in order to increase its effectiveness The aim of the research is to study the processes of economic transformation in the context of digitalization and their impact on the development of the consumer market. The article outlines modern approaches to the study of the transformational process of market functioning. On the base of the parametric approach, ongoing changes in the relations of market participants were identified, the influence of globalization factors on the development of the needs of the consumer market was revealed. The result of the study is the creation of an information basis for modeling the parameters of the assessment of the consumer market in the digital economy.
