- Abstract
We use the microwave technology to extract the lutein from the marigold. The effects of microwave time, microwave power and solid - liquid ratio on the yield of lutein were studied by single factor test and orthogonal test. The results determine that the best extraction conditions are as follows: microwave time is 30 s, microwave power is 540 W, solid - liquid ratio is 1:30 and the yield of lutein in marigold is 2.6%.
