- Abstract
Richards transformation and Kuroda rule are briefly introduced firstly as the theoretical support of the research. Based on the Richards transformation and Kuroda rule description, the structure of microstrip low-pass filter and its designing principle are empirically analyzed through the simulation of both circuit and layout to the schematic diagram of the microstrip low-pass filter with terminal load Stub on the ADS2011 software platform. The process of the simulation contains four steps. Firstly, the basic values of the filter prototype is determined. Secondly, simulating circuit is designed in principles of Richards transformation and Kuroda rule. Thirdly, intelligent computing the microstrip line is carried out on the platform of ADS2011 so as to form the layout. And fourthly, the modification to the layout for typing technique is applied with control to ensure the exactness of the simulation. The simulation on the ADS software platform avoids the massive, complicated and laborious manual calculation, effectively shortening the designing period.
