Abstract

This article aims to explore the Chinese-English codeswitching in netspeak with the help of the Adaptation Theory put forward by Verschueren. Based on the research and analysis, it is found that the Chinese-English codeswitching in netspeak mainly adapts to the linguistic reality, the social conventions as well as the psychological motivations, which will be discussed one by one in this paper.
