ISSES was organized to increase opportunities for cooperation and expand networks, as well as an advocacy effort to stakeholders through high-level scientific discussions and publication of research results. The theme highlighted at the 5th International Seminar of Sport and Exercise Science (ISSES) was “Beyond the Games: Promotion Sport and Exercise to Communities.” Since 2019, ISSES has been at the forefront of driving change and driving innovation in the fields of sport science and sport education. Each year, our meticulously curated program features a diverse array of keynote speakers, presenters, and networking opportunities designed to inspire, educate, and empower our attendees. The conference was held online on June 26–27, 2024. Organizing this event shows the commitment and acknowledgement of Universitas Negeri Surabaya to research activities. It encourages dissemination of ideas in social and law and provides a forum for intellectuals from all over the world to discuss and present their research findings on the research areas, as well as to build networks with others. In addition, this conference certainly helps improve scientific publication of researchers. This conference has attracted much attention from the scientific community. There are 43 review and research-based papers submitted in the conference. The papers have two range of topics: Sport Science and Sport Education. The authors were mainly from researchers across Indonesia. The selection was based on the results of the rigorous review of the papers by two referees for each paper who focused on the format, language use, and contents. Hopefully, the scientific papers can provide invaluable insights on those very important topics.
