- Abstract
The article deals with the issues of psychological work on the prevention of professional deformation of internal affairs officers in the context of the competence approach. The development of measures aimed at creating the conditions for the competence development of each individual employee in accordance with the profile of professional competencies necessary for the organization is the basis for preventing professional deformation within the framework of the moral and psychological support of operational and service activities. Currently, staff psychologists continue the practice of studying professional competencies from the point of view of studying personal characteristics that limit professional psychological suitability to serve in the internal affairs bodies.
