Everyone must be healthy to achieve high prosperity. At the end of 2019, the world experienced the impact of such an enormous health problem. After the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world, all aspects of our lives changed. The pandemic severely impacted the health systems of developed and developing countries. Even today, we still have not yet fully recovered. Countries with sound health systems and strong health-oriented policies might recover faster from this condition. Low-income countries are reported to have suffered worse during the pandemic. It shows high social inequality between social groups in the world. Let us talk about health problems within countries. Inequality may also occur between social classes, those who live in cities and rural areas, households with high and low incomes, and between different age groups; even inequality also occurs in different gender groups. Eliminating inequality is still the most formidable challenge for us because eliminating inequality means enabling all people to be empowered and have power and access to resources properly, responsibly, and without significant effort. Therefore, the initially centralized power needs to be distributed relatively through community empowerment efforts to create equality in health. On this occasion, we invite academics, researchers, and observers in the health sector to exchange information, experiences, and ideas to find the most effective options for solutions and strategies. The 5th International Scientific Meeting on Public Health and Sports (ISMoPHS 2023) was organized to increase opportunities for cooperation and expand networks, as well as an advocacy effort to stakeholders through high-level scientific discussions and publication of research results. This conference had the theme “Shifting Power and Equity in Global Health.” Public health is our collective responsibility. All levels of society can play a role and realize equity in health. Equality and social justice can give birth to a high degree of public health. A high degree of public health can create prosperity and social welfare that is just, equitable, and as high as possible. Let us realize this dream together for future generations so that no one is left behind. Have an excellent conference.
