The 1st International Scientific Meeting on Public Health and Sports (ISMoPHS) is organized by the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Universitas Negeri Malang. The theme of this conference is “Strategic Investments in Health and Sports to Advance Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. We are aware that in 2015, The United Nations General Assembly set a collection of global goals for the year 2030 known as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of the goals focuses on health and well-being, especially goal number three (Goal 3): Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. The importance of achieving good state of health and well-being to advance SDGs, indicates that there are needs for undertaking investments through strategic efforts in health and sports. Collaborations and sharing knowledge with other countries will be a great opportunity to achieve SDGs by the year 2030.

The conference aims to bring together academics, scholars, researchers, and educators from different countries to exchange and share their knowledge, research results, and experience on all aspects of public health and sport sciences. The conference also aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, educators and practitioners to present and discuss the most recent innovations, research findings, trends, and concerns, as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of public health and sport sciences to advance Sustainable Development Goals both nationally and globally.

This year, we are honored to have Prof. Dr. Low Wah Yun (Malaysia), Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang (Thailand), Dr. Febi Dwirahmadi (Australia), and Dr. Sapto Adi, M.Kes (Indonesia) as keynote speakers. We also have international participants coming from different countries to present their valuable study. We have received many remarkable papers that show notable findings.
