Abstract

Under the dual background of the rapid popularization of the Internet and the deepening degree of population aging, using the Internet to improve the happiness of the elderly has become an important topic. Based on the data of China Household tracking survey in 2020, this paper analyzes the impact of the Internet on the well-being of the elderly. The research shows that: (1) the average Internet time of the elderly is short, and the difference of Internet time is large; (2) The happiness of the elderly is generally high; (3) There is a significant positive correlation between Internet use and happiness of the elderly. Improve the service functions of the network platform, and give full play to and make good use of the role of the Internet smart platform.
