Abstract

Viewing from the development pattern of its ideology and culture, Marxism’s dissemination in China, in a certain sense, reflects people’s implicit manners of grasping ideology and culture. These manners include the mode of promoting cultural enlightenment with the self-awareness of the ideological subject, the way of realizing cultural integration with the self-contradiction of the ideological subject in relational being, and the method of consciously motivating cultural innovation with the paradigm of ideology and culture. In other words, the dissemination and development of Marxism in China, containing an outward growing power of people’s philosophical thinking about themselves and towards the world, are an important foundation for surveying and reflecting on the development process of Chinese ideology and culture since modern times.
