- Abstract
Based on the situation of Zhuhai think tank in Guangdong Province, this study gradually focuses on the construction of local government think tank system in China, and combs the development process and existing problems of think tanks. Based on the analysis of the bidding data of Zhuhai, Guangdong Province from 2014 to 2019, this paper finds out the advantages and constraints of the development of think tanks in Zhuhai, and puts forward suggestions for the better construction of local government think tank system. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) Zhuhai, Guangdong Province is located in the bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, and has a superior geographical location, which is conducive to the development of think tanks. (2) Zhuhai lacks information sharing platform between think tanks and local governments, and information asymmetry exists in the exchange. (3)The team building of Zhuhai think tank still needs to be improved. Think tanks should make scientific work plans according to the characteristics of time period, government departments and procurement methods. (4) The research fields of think tanks in Zhuhai are not diversified, and the research capacity of think tanks still needs to be improved. Some areas need the assistance of think tanks from other regions. This study can provide reference for the construction of local government think tank system in Zhuhai and similar areas.
