We are delighted to present the Proceedings of the International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Computing, Engineering, and Science Education 2024 (InVENT 2024). Held onAugust 20th and 22nd, 2024, at the SACCin Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, InVENT 2024 brought together an exceptional community of scholars, researchers, and practitioners from across the globe. The conference provided a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas and advancements, not only in the fields of science and technology but also in the essential areas of the arts, humanities, and social sciences.

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is honored to host this signature event, organized in collaboration with the Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net), which inaugurated its first conference in 2023 in Brunei. InVENT 2024 is co-hosted by the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), and we are proud to welcome participants to Shah Alam, the vibrant capital of Selangor, for this important gathering on August 20–21, 2024.

The theme for this year’s conference, Converging Innovation with Soul: AI in Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Education, was chosen to address the rapidly evolving impact of artificial intelligence (AI) across various dimensions of society. With AI poised to become a major driver of economic growth in Malaysia, the conference aims to foster critical discussions on the opportunities and challenges posed by this transformative technology. InVENT 2024 serves as a collaborative platform for academic, industry, and government leaders to explore AI’s integration into computing, engineering, science, and entrepreneurship through keynote speeches, exhibitions, and research presentations.

A key highlight of the event is the plenary session on the opening day, featuring an officiating speech by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who discusses the role of AI in advancing a civilised society, as outlined in Malaysia’s National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Roadmap 2021–2025. On the second day, we are honoured to welcome Prof. Dr Hamido Fujita, a globally recognised AI expert and editor-in-chief of several leading peer-reviewed journals, who will share his insights on AI technology, innovation, and its implications for education.

This compilation of works emphasises the importance of integrating the arts, humanities, and social sciences with technological advancements. It reinforces the belief that interdisciplinary collaboration is vital for addressing the complex challenges of our time.
