- Abstract
This research is talking about “The Relationship between Self-Esteem and Social Media Instagram toward Writing Skill of EFL Learners (The Experimental Research) The objective of this research is to know whether or not any relationship between Self-Esteem and Social Media Instagram toward Writing Skill of EFL Learners. The method of the research was quasi experimental design. The subject of this research was the students. The cluster random sampling was used to take the sample. The sample was two classes, class X MIPA 1 as the experimental class and class X MIPA 2 as the control class. Pre-test, Post-test and questionnaire was used in collecting the data. From the data analysis, it was found that the result statistic calculation, it was obtained that the value of Tvalue was 2.41 and degree of freedom (df) is 48. In the table of significance 0.05 the value of the significance was 1.68, comparing those values, the result was 2.41>1.68 which means Tvaluescore was higher than Ttable Score. The result of questionnaire, the writer found that the students of self-esteem. In conclusion, alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that there was relationship between self-esteem and social media Instagram toward writing skill of EFL learners.
