- Abstract
The purpose of this interpretive qualitative research is to identify how a company in Jombang Indonesia interprets and implements Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) according to Islamic culture. The data were collected through surveys, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using an ethnographic approach, which was done by creating domain, taxonomy, and component analyses. This study finds that CSR in the company is a reflection of Islamic teachings and culture, namely “Manunggaling Keimanan dan Kemanusiaan” which is interpreted as the union of faith and humanity. Faith without humanity means no benefit to others, and humanity without faith is empty because there is no element of worship in it. These companies carry out CSR as their faith in the Creator and responsibility to fellow human beings. Thus the implementation of CSR by the company is right on target and in accordance with the needs of the community.
