Abstract

Halal product guarantee in Indonesia is the primary focus in the context of legal certainty, given the significance of preserving consumer trust and fairness for producers. This situation based on the misunderstanding of the consumers on the indicators of halal standards as required by the rules. Legal certainty in this context requires clear and effective regulations to ensure that products consumed by the public are in compliance with halal principles. The fundamental problem consists in the consistent and systematic implementation of existing regulations. The objective of this research is to examine the optimization of halal product guarantees in Indonesia as a paradigm of legal certainty. The research method used is the analysis of documents and literature studies to evaluate the existing legal framework and its implementation in practice concerning halal product guarantees and regulation on halal certification. The analysis highlights that Indonesia faces challenges in harmonizing and consistently implementing its Halal Product Guarantee Law. Beyond religious considerations, ensuring halal product integrity is crucial for societal and economic responsibilities. Effective public policies are needed for certification, supervision, and law enforcement, necessitating coordinated efforts among government, industry, and civil society. The study underscores the need to enhance legal certainty as a foundation for successful implementation, advocating for transparency, accountability, and inclusive participation to sustainably develop Indonesia’s halal product sector.
