The Influence of Gratitude on the Forgiveness of Rural Primary School Teachers in the Northwest of Yunnan Province: The Mediating Role of altruism

- Abstract
To explore the basic conditions and interrelationships of altruism, gratitude and forgiveness of rural primary school teachers in northwest Yunnan,1912 rural primary school teachers in northwestern Yunnan were surveyed with Attitude Questionnaire, Gratitude Questionnaire and Forgiveness Questionnaire. The results indicated that:altruism, gratitude,forgiveness of the rural primary school teachers in northwest Yunnan were above the middle level.The male teacher's altruism was higher than that of the female teacher, the female teacher's gratitude was higher than that of the male teacher; the gratitude score of teachers with short teaching age was higher than that of teachers with long -term teaching ,the forgiveness score of teachers with long-term teaching was higher than that of short teaching age;the forgiveness score of the senior title and ungraded titles teacher were higher than that of other professional titles, and the senior title teacher's altruistic score was higher than that of the junior qualifications teachers.There had significantly positive correlation among gratitude ,altruism and forgiveness. Gratitude and altruism had significantly positive influence on forgiveness. Altruism played a mediating role in relationship between gratitude and forgiveness.
